Wealth, Fame, Power: A One Piece Met Gala Zine is a One Piece Fashion Zine, specifically centered around the biggest fashion party of the year, the Met Gala! What's better than our favorite pirates and frenemies dressed to the nines?!This zine will consist of two parts:
The Carpet Walk and the After Party/Behind The Scenes.
The Carpet Walk is a free digital zine that focuses on the carpet walk of the Gala, including but not limited to: getting ready, arriving, and walking the carpet. This is where most of the famous images of the Real Life Met Gala take place. This is the fashion, the drama, the outfits that influence fashion trends.
The Gala/Behind the Scenes is a for charity extended digital zine with digital merch that includes content not limited to: The Gala itself, designers prepping, the afterparties, behind-the-scenes setup, plans, and notes. Think group scenes of various characters partying it up or fighting over seating arrangements. Think putting on the second outfit of the night. Think outfits fit for a proper rager of the “elite”.
All proceeds will go towards the Fashion Institute, the world’s largest collection of fashion from across the globe.

For All Roles
All contributors should be 18+ at the time of the application.
All pieces must take place before/during/after The Gala.
All pieces must contain canon One Piece characters. No OCs.
Your piece must focus on your character(s) listed in the accepted pitch. Please refrain from using non-pitched characters.
You can have characters interacting, but shipping is prohibited in this zine.
All pieces should follow the world that has been created for the zine, so that all pieces match together. This is ONLY for the world/location setup. This DOES NOT mean character designs, character roles, etc. We would like the venue and basic event to be the same across the board, but anything beyond that is up to you!
All contributors are allowed to submit up to three (3) pieces!
Note: Due to the extensive planning, nature, and public-facing media that occurs at the Met Gala, we encourage contributors to make pieces that reflect all aspects of the Gala in all different types of forms! We have provided a list of piece types that you can consider making, and look forward to hearing any ideas you have!
Writers
Max of 3k per writer across ALL pieces.
You have the option to work with an artist (written piece + spot art) or another writer (co-written dialogue-based pieces).
Examples of possible things we’d love to see: Fashion commentary, fics that star fashion in some way (Nami shopping, Brook choosing a style, Navy uniforms, Revolutionaries breaking norms, etc.), Modern AUs, Reporters losing their minds over the latest and greatest, etc.
Artists
There are three types of artist spots for this zine:
Page Artists - A complete piece (portrait or landscape) with some type of background. We would love to see pieces that star the Real Life Met Gala red carpet as the background, but other glamorous locations would be amazing too!
Comic Artists - A comic between 1-3 pages.
Spot Artists - Spot art to accompany a written piece. These would be limited to a maximum of 3 spot arts/fic.
Piccrew Artists! - We would love to have a small crew of 3-5 piccrew artists making clothes and accessories for a fun interactive piccrew! The clothes can be canon pieces, or original!
Digital Merch Artists
Create two to three pieces of digital merch for download along with the zine.Examples of what we are hoping to have to accompany the completed zine:
